Senior residents voice frustrations after second fire in one month

(WPHL) — Philadelphia firefighters had to evacuate close to 200 people from the Courtyard Apartments at Riverview after the facility experienced its second electrical fire in just a month’s time. Residents of the apartment complex voiced their frustrations after having to spend time back in a shelter after doing so for 11 days just a month ago.

Volunteers have help provide hygiene items, meals, support services and a safe place to sleep. As of now there has been no timeline announced on when the apartments will re-open.
