Recreational marijuana sales to begin in Delaware

(WPHL) — More than two years after recreational marijuana was legalized in the First State, Delaware will begin legal adult-use marijuana sales on Friday.

According to the Office of the Marijuana Commissioner, all medical marijuana conversion licensees may begin recreational sales on August 1. 

The state projects that its recreational cannabis market is projected to generate over $40 million in annual revenue, creating new job opportunities and investment pathways.

There are 13 dispensaries that will begin sales on Friday.
