According to Portland Fire & Rescue, crews first responded to a fire at a 5,000-square-foot abandoned warehouse in Northeast Portland, where flames were pushing out of one corner.
Officials said the call was quickly upgraded to a second alarm to ensure that the fire didn’t spread to nearby buildings.
Crews removed wood covering windows and attacked the blaze from outside until they could finally get inside and snuff out the flames.
A short while later, crews headed to Southeast Portland, where an outbuilding was on fire.
When crews arrived, officials said there was fire showing on three sides of the building, with the possibility of spreading to the nearby house.
Firefighters also learned that a teen who frequently used the outbuilding was not accounted for.
The blaze was quickly taken down before it could spread, and authorities said they were able to locate the teen.
No injuries were reported due to either fire.
Between the two blazes, Portland Fire crews also responded to a crash in northeast Portland where a car rolled into an electric fence.
All three incidents took place within a span of just over two hours.
