On July 31, around midnight, officers were called to the 4200 block of Auburn Street for reports of domestic violence.
The woman told authorities they were arguing over car seats through text message before the incident.
The victim saw Easter Bonilla kicking her door down soon after, according to court records. The woman told officials the suspect grabbed her by the hair and began punching her while she was holding a baby.
The suspect fled in a Mercury Grand Marquis as officers arrived on scene, police reported.
Easter-Bonilla was speeding at a high rate of speed on Auburn Street, court documents show. He eventually crashed into a raised median, which disabled his car.
Authorities said the suspect started to run away, but was taken into custody shortly after.
Easter-Bonilla is charged with domestic battery that caused bodily harm, home invasion that caused injury, three counts of child endangerment, criminal property damage, aggravated fleeing police while driving 21 miles per hour or more over the speed limit and resisting an officer.
