Marion County man with 18 previous felony arrests behind bars again for assaulting wife

A Marion County man with 18 previous arrests is behind bars again after allegedly assaulting his wife. Forty-three-year-old Joshua Dustin Monistere of Bull Shoals was arrested July 20 following the incident.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Marion County Road 4021 for a domestic dispute.

The victim told the deputy Monistere had pushed her up against a wall and bit her head. She said she could not remember everything that had happened. The deputy noted the victim had also had red marks on her face and neck and a red patch on her back.

She told the deputy that when he knocked on the door, Monistere told her “If that is the police, I’m going to kill you!”

Monistere is facing felony charges of first degree domestic battery and first degree terroristic threatening along with a misdemeanor count of assault on a household member. His bond is set at $10,000.

Monistere’s previous 18 felony arrests date back to 2002 and occurred in Marion, Baxter, Boone, Searcy and Pulaski counties. His crimes include aggravated assault, residential burglary, theft of property, battery, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening, criminal trespass, possession of methamphetamine with intent to manufacture, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled counterfeit substance without a prescription, possession of anhydrous ammonia, possession of firearms by certain persons, domestic battery, assault, forgery, criminal mischief, criminal attempt, intimidating a witness and impairing the operation of a vital public facility.
