Ernest Adkins announces candidacy for Gassville Mayor

Ernest (EJ) Adkins has officially announced his candidacy for Mayor of Gassville.A lifelong resident of the Twin Lakes area, Adkins is a U.S. Navy veteran, a graduate of Yellville-Summit High School, and a single father of two. He has served on the Gassville City Council since 2020, representing Ward 2, Position 1.
Adkins said his campaign will focus on continuing the city’s progress and maintaining a strong connection with residents.

“I’ve worked hard to make sure the voices of our residents are heard and their needs are met,” Adkins said. “Under Mayor Braim’s leadership, Gassville has moved in a positive direction, and I’m committed to continuing that momentum after his retirement.”

He added, “Mayor Braim leaves behind a legacy and some very big shoes to fillI’ll do my best to be worthy of the trust he’s earned and the future we can build together.”
