East Bay Grocery Outlet employee charged with felony embezzlement

(KRON) — An employee at a Grocery Outlet store in the East Bay has been charged with felony embezzlement. According to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, Kierra Trinishanico Phelps committed a felony embezzlement over time between Dec. 30, 2024 and Jan. 28, 2025.

During that time, according to the DA, Phelps “did fraudulently appropriate money and personal property entrusted to her by Grocery Outlet.”

While the DA did not specify which Grocery Outlet location or how much money was involved, the value exceeded $950, according to the DA.
