Saturday begins much the same as we’ve been seeing with quiet conditions, but storms develop around midday to bring some cooling relief. Highs once again reach the low and mid 90s with feels-like temperatures around 105 degrees.
The tropics are quiet right now, but there are hints that they could be waking soon. A few tropical waves in the Atlantic will continue to work westward, and as they approach the U.S., some models are suggesting the potential for development. For now, we have no concerns to monitor through the next week.
Sunday begins a warming trend for Acadiana as high pressure once again rebuilds across the area. This will lead to lower rain chances and highs in the mid 90s. Feels-like temperatures will be pushing 108 degrees each afternoon through the end of next week. Each afternoon, a storm or two will be possible each afternoon.
