Texas cities voted as the heart and soul of baseball

FRISCO (KDAF) — For many Americans, baseball isn’t just a sport…it’s a ritual passed down through generations, stitched into the fabric of small towns and big cities alike. To celebrate that legacy, Gambling N’ Go surveyed 4,936 baseball fans to identify the town in each U.S. state that best represents the heart and soul of baseball. Whether it’s a place with a legendary high school team, a beloved minor league stadium, or a history of producing MLB talent, these hometown heroes are where the game still feels most alive.

#1 Frisco
Frisco is home to the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The team plays at Riders Field, known for its fan-friendly features – including a lazy river in the outfield. Frisco has developed a strong identity as a family-oriented, sports-loving suburb of Dallas.

#2 Corpus Christi
Baseball in Corpus Christi comes with coastal breezes and big swings. Corpus Christi Hooks (Double-A affiliate of Astros) draw crowds to Whataburger Field, where seagulls and home runs share the skyline. Fans here take their Astros pipeline seriously.

#3 Midland
Midland hosts the Midland RockHounds, the Double-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. Games at Momentum Bank Ballpark are a major community draw, and the team has been part of the city’s identity for decades.
