The first shooting occurred at a home on Valley of the Moon Road in Hermanville around 9:30 p.m. on July 29. While en route, deputies received another call about a shooting at Michael Dean’s convenience store in Hermanville.
Within minutes, deputies patrolling the area said they observed someone in a black Ford Focus firing shots. After a chase, deputies arrested three suspects.
During the investigation, deputies searched a second vehicle. They said four suspects, dressed in black, were seen attempting to leave the scene of an accident near the shooting locations.
Deputies said they recovered several firearms from both vehicles. They said some of the weapons were equipped with illegal modifications, known as “switches.” According to investigators, some of the firearms had been reported as stolen.
The suspects were identified as Quavion Barnes, Emmanuel Williams, Dabarrei McCauley, Jamarion Mallet, Cortez Hedrick, Donte King, Jr., and Kemarriyun Jones. They have been charged with multiple offenses.
