Meet WGNO’s intern from LSU: Alexis Ware

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Alexis Ware, better known as Lexie, is overjoyed to intern at WGNO this summer with Bella Dardano and Kenny Lopez. Born and raised across the lake in Covington, she currently attends Louisiana State University as a Public Relations major. While at school, she heads the Entertainment section of LSU’s newspaper, the Reveille.

As a digital intern, Lexie has learned the ins and outs of the newsroom, from publishing stories on the web to assisting with the creation of feature stories. She primarily helped with the NOLA Pool Passport

series, traveling around New Orleans with WGNO to work behind-the-scenes. She even danced the Cupid Shuffle with Cupid himself!

“Working at WGNO has definitely been one of the most fulfilling and fun experiences of my life thus far,” Lexie said. “I’ve learned so much from Bella and Kenny, as well as the rest of the talented WGNO team, and I am excited to take all I have learned into the next stage of my life.”

Lexie plans to pursue a career in Journalism once she graduates in December.
