CHICAGO (WGN) — Authorities in Chicago are asking for help in the search for a man who officers say has been missing for more than a year.

Police say 74-year-old Rolando Sanchez has been missing since March 1, 2024.

Officers said the missing man was last spotted in the 8100 block of South Exchange Avenue in South Chicago.

According to police, Snahcez is familiar with that neighborhood and is known to frequent areas between the 7900 and 8700 blocks of South Exchange.

Police say the missing man, who stands 5-foot-7 and weighs around 150 pounds, has brown eyes and gray hair.

A photo of Sanchez provided by Chicago police shows him with a mustache; however, officers said the photo was taken in 2020 and his look may have changed.

Authorities shared details about the man’s disappearance in a news release sent out on Tuesday afternoon, but did not say what he was last spotted wearing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 74-year-old Rolando Sanchez is asked to contact the CPD Area Two SVU at 312-747-8276 or dial 911.
