I-465 reopens on east side after vehicle fire

INDIANAPOLIS — A vehicle fire closed part of I-465 on the east side of Indianapolis Thursday morning.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, this happened on I-465 northbound near US 36 and Pendleton Pike.

Two right lanes were closed as a result. Video from the scene showed the cab of a semi on fire as crews worked to douse the flames.

One of the lanes reopened shortly before 6 a.m. All lanes reopened around 7:30 a.m., according to INDOT.

The incident remains under investigation.
