(KRON) — A water main break at a major intersection near downtown Emeryville Thursday morning has led to road closures and potential water outages in the area. According to the Emeryville Police Department, the water main break at Shellmound Street between Christie Avenue and Shellmound Way has led Shellmound Way to be closed in both directions.

Businesses in the area may also be experiencing water outages as a result of the break, police said. Repair work is currently underway.
