
FORT WORTH, TX (KDAF) – NASCAR is all about speed. From the track, to the pit lane, you have to be fast. CW33 spoke with a pit crew member about what it takes to be on the team.
Many of them are former athletes, so they’re used to working as a team and keeping their body in shape. They need to be strong enough to easily lift the tires and other equipment.
They say most pit stops take around 13 seconds. In that time they change all four tires, gas up, and make other adjustments as needed. To do all of that in a short amount of time, they have to work together flawlessly.
