ARREST: Woman allegedly fires shots during argument in north Abilene

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A woman has been arrested after allegedly firing a gun into the air during an argument Tuesday night.

On July 29, 2025, a caller reported that a woman in the 2400 block of Campus Court was yelling at someone in the street. The caller stated she had a gun and had fired shots.

When police arrived, the suspect went into a house. Police called her out over the PA system and took Stephanie Kidder into custody. The victim claimed Kidder fired shots into the air during an argument.

Kidder was booked into the Taylor County Jail on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Discharge of a Firearm in Certain Municipalities. She remains held on bonds totalling $50,000.
