It marked the first practice for the Green Wave football program as well as new quarterbacks Jake Retzlaff and Brendan Sullivan.
Sullivan spent last season at Iowa and committed to Tulane in April, while Retzlaff spent last year at BYU. He joined the Green Wave program last week.
Both gunslingers will be competing with Kadin Semonza and Donovan Learny for Tulane’s starting job.
Head coach Jon Sumrall said after practice Wednesday that he is “probably not going to name a starting quarterback today.”
Tulane is 30 days away from its regular season opener against Northwestern at Yulman Stadium.
The Green Wave is back at practice tomorrow at the Gold Mine on Airline.
