Rockford man accused of strangling a pregnant woman in an alley

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Marquall Flint, 34, for allegedly attacking a pregnant woman after an argument.

On July 19, around 1 a.m., officers were called to the Mobil gas station on Stowmarket Avenue for reports of domestic violence. The victim told authorities she was strangled and punched multiple times.

The woman met with Flint in an alley in the 500 block of Fairview Avenue to get her apartment key back from him when they started arguing, she told officials on July 21.

The victim had visible injuries, police reported.

Flint was previously convicted of domestic battery in 2010.

He is charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery with prior convictions and aggravated domestic battery that caused strangulation.

He was granted pretrial release on July 30.
