Oregon State player named to USA Volleyball’s U23 Team

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon State senior outside hitter Lauren Rumel has received the nod from Team USA to be a member of the U23 Team ahead of the 2025 Pan American Cup.

Rumel made the team after attending a tryout and training camp earlier this year and will play for Team USA in Leon, Mexico, from July 27 to August 1.

As a Beaver, she led the program in aces and started in every match over the last two seasons. This year, she tallied 333 kills, which is second on the team. Rumel is the only WCC student athlete to make Team USA.

The Tucson, Ariz. native was named to the WCC’s All-Conference team in 2024.
