CRIS Healthy Aging helps supports people over the age of 60 with various medical needs. One of those is signing them up for insurance — and they’ve seen an increase in people reaching out.
Angel White said people don’t need to worry right now — they’ll be covered through the end of the year — and can’t change until the open enrollment period in October. But they can meet with her for help beyond this year.
“We’ll go over all the plans that is available,” White said. “It’s all individualized. So I’ll ask questions like, you know, ‘What kind of meds do you take? What doctors do you see?’ My job is to help them find a plan that all their providers are covered so they don’t have to change your provider. Nobody wants to do that.”
White said you can call in to the CRIS office at 217-443-2999 to schedule a free appointment.
