At least one injured in Treme shooting incident: NOPD

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A person is injured after being shot in the Treme area of New Orleans on Wednesday, July 30.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the shooting, which happened at the intersection of North Claiborne Avenue and St. Ann Street, was reported at 4:41 p.m.

On scene, a person was found at the intersection inside of a vehicle having been shot at least one time, and at last word was being treated by EMS.

Police say they’re setting up a perimeter around the area. NOPD officials said the areas around St. Ann, Conti and Louis streets will be blocked during the investigation.
