New boba café to bring ‘soon-to-be-famous twist’ to Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno will officially welcome a new boba spot next month that promises to bring house-made cream tops, award-winning espresso from Portland and a “soon-to-be-famous” twist.

Supri Coffee & Boba café will celebrate its grand opening on Aug. 15 at 10:25 a.m. The café owners, Nishi Sangam and Gautham (Raj) Gundrathi, who came from Portland, say the new spot is meant to be “a reset.”

“When you sit beside someone you love with no agenda, coffee becomes something more,” Sangam said. “It becomes a pause. A moment to reflect. A reset. That’s what Supri is meant to be.”

The café will offer real plates instead of paper, award-winning espresso from Portland, house-made cream tops and cannoli filling, freshly-made crepes and what they call a “soon-to-be-famous” twist: cream tops on boba.

The Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation says this experience will blend the elegance of a European café with the warmth of a family living room.

The grand opening will include complimentary cream tops and surprise drinks, live DJ and music, raffles for T-shirts, gift cards and mugs.

The new spot is located at 1916 E. Copper Ave. #105.
