STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Stafford County on Saturday, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies received reports of a crash involving a motorcycle at 8:19 p.m. on July 26, in the area of Garrisonville and Furnace roads.

There, a 36-year-old man from Front Royal was found ejected from his motorcycle and suffering from life-threatening injuries. Deputies said he was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

An initial investigation, along with multiple witness accounts, determined that the motorcyclist was heading west when he struck the curb and was thrown from his bike.

According to deputies, speed was determined to be the cause of the crash.
