Lightning causes 2 residential fires in Bargersville

BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — Lightning caused two residential fires in Bargersville on Monday morning.

Officials with the Bargersville Fire Department confirmed that the agency responded to fires in the 4200 block of Hickory Ridge Boulevard and the 3500 block of Danbury Court. BFD reported that the fires were both rapidly extinguished.

After the fires were out, crews helped board up portions of the homes that were hit by lightning.

Per BFD, the homes’ occupants were not injured or displaced by the fires.
