According to a social media post by Millard Sheriff, both adults died of apparent gunshot wounds, and a gun consistent with the wounds was found on the scene. Investigators currently believe that Jay Stevens killed Colleen Halsey, his grandmother, and evidence suggests that Jay’s death was self-inflicted.
The cause of death for Harper Stevens, Jay’s daughter, is currently unknown pending autopsy results.
