This morning starts warm, with temperatures in the 70s around Uptown and the 60s in our mountain counties. Be on the lookout for some patchy fog this morning as overnight showers taper off.
We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds today, with highs reaching the mid to upper 90s this afternoon. Heat Advisories will be in effect for Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas as our heat index can be as high as 105 degrees!
Afternoon pop-up storms and isolated downpours will be likely as moisture continues to sit over the Carolinas. We can see some pooling and ponding in the low-lying areas as the aggressive rainfall looks to run off and collect in some spots.
Tonight will dip into the 70s once again as mid-90s dominate mid-week. Our cooling trend continues through the second half of the work week as each day brings the pop-up showers and storm chances.

Upper 80s will take hold by Friday as we continue to cool down heading into the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will hover in the low 80s with lower rain chances for the weekend.
Low 80s and mostly dry conditions kick off early next week.
Today: Hot & Humid with Pop Up Storms. High: 96.
Tonight: Partly Cloudy & Warm with Lingering Showers. Low: 75.
