Ivey says the funds are in support of economic development projects across the state, reinforcing commitments to long-term job creation and site readiness.
The Opelika Industrial Development Authority was granted $921,310 as a part of the ‘Growing Alabama’ program.
“Growing Alabama is one of the most effective tools we have to strengthen our economic foundation and prepare communities — both large and small — for future growth,” said Ivey. “These investments are paving the way for high-quality jobs, business expansion and long-term prosperity across every corner of our state.”
The funds were designated by the Renewal of Alabama Commission as part of the 2025 “Growing Alabama” program.
Officials say that over 27% of this year’s funding allocations were to rural areas, which are a key focus of the state.
The projects include various site developments and public infrastructure improvements designed to strengthen industrial parks and strategic assets statewide.
