Two wounded in separate New Orleans East shootings

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that happened in New Orleans East Sunday, July 27.

The first shooting was reported in the 1300 block of Granville Street around 11:52 p.m. Responding NOPD officers said they arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

They were take to a hospital by EMS.

Minutes later, NOPD officers responded to the call of a shooting at the corner of Dorsett Drive and Lincoln Beach Boulevard (Hayne Boulevard).

The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was also taken to a hospital by EMS.

The conditions of the victim’s were not released.

No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine possible suspects and motives.
