Shooting in New Iberia leaves one critically injured

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) — The New Iberia Police Department is currently investigating a shooting where one individual was critically injured.

Officials said the shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Parkview Drive, around 2:15 p.m. this afternoon.

Officials said preliminary findings indicate that this was an isolated incident and was not directed toward any business in the area.

Authorities are actively investigating the case and pursuing leads. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
