HAZLETON – As crews battled a major fire in Hazleton early Sunday morning, a neighboring community’s fire company helped handle a car crash in the city.
The crash happened around 1am on Alter Street near 11th Street.
A Hyundai Tucson struck a parked car and rolled over.
As crews arrived, the SUV was broadside in the road.
Firefighters from Beaver Meadows, in town covering the city as crews battled a fire at the former St. Paul’s Church downtown, responded to the call along with a Hazleton Fire deputy chief and Hazleton Police.
Neighbors said two occupants from the car were taken to area hospitals.
Further details were not available Sunday morning.
