The 17-year-old was shot during a house party in the 2600 block of Juniper Avenue around 1:15 a.m. She was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional’s Midtown campus and eventually airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Authorities also said that in a connected incident several blocks away, an 18-year-old female suffered multiple gunshot injuries in a shooting incident that happened near Japonica Drive.
The 18-year-old was listed in stable condition at Piedmont Columbus Regional’s Midtown campus. The victim was in a moving vehicle when she was shot.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
