Laurel County woman accused of killing mother, confessing to 911 due back in court

LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Laurel County woman accused of shooting and killing her mother in March is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, July 28.

Authorities said deputies found the body of Carol Rich, mother of 26-year-old Brianna Rich, outside of her home on Burnett Road around 9 p.m. on March 14.

On April 18, a grand jury indicted Rich, citing that the jury was able to establish probable cause. She had allegedly been shot multiple times.

Following her last court date on June 23, Rich is set to appear at 9 a.m. on Monday for a pre-trial conference.

Jail records show Rich is lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center, held on a $250,000 cash bond.
