I-39 crash in Ogle County leaves several hurt, deputy’s vehicle also struck

According to the Monroe Township Fire Protection District, around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, a vehicle traveling north on I-39 hit the stopped vehicle.

One person is said to have been critically injured in the crash, and others were injured.

While assisting at the scene, the deputy’s vehicle was hit.

Authorities remind drivers to slow down and move over if an emergency vehicle is stopped on the shoulder of the highway.
