LEBANON, Ind. — A Starbucks in Lebanon has sustained heavy damage after a driver crashed into the storefront.

Multiple emergency response crews were called Monday afternoon to the Starbucks Coffee at 1377 S. Lebanon Street on report of a car going into a building. Upon arrival, they found a grey SUV had crashed through the storefront near the Order Pick-Up section.

A photo of the damage, provided by the Lebanon Fire Department, can be seen below:

Fire Chief Chuck Batts said that one person who was inside the building was taken to the local hospital with unknown injuries. The driver’s condition was not mentioned.

Batts also said that 1-800-BOARDUP is handling the temporary construction on the damage while the City of Lebanon’s Building Inspector will conduct on-scene damage assessment. The Starbucks location will reportedly be under an “extended closure” for an unknown duration.

The City of Lebanon Fire Department said that, in addition to their crews, the Lebanon Police Department, Boone County Sheriff’s Office and Boone County EMS also responded.

This is the same Starbucks that was heavily damaged during a tornado outbreak over 10 years ago. On November 17, 2013, an EF-2 tornado hit the Lebanon area and damaged the Starbucks location.
