Now in its 14th year, the Summer Colors Art Auction is more than just an exhibit, it’s a testament to the healing power of creativity and community.
This year’s event features original artwork by established and up and coming artists, including Lorena, a young Scottish Rite patient whose journey through treatment inspired her to give back through art.
“Lorena’s story reflects the heart of Scottish Rite,” said Stephanie Brigger, Vice President of Development.
Lorena stayed at the hospital for a full two months for scoliosis treatment. During her down time, she turned to art to express herself.
“She’s turning her healing into a gift for others, and that’s what makes this event so powerful,” Brigger said.
The event will take place on-site at Scottish Rite for Children at 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, Texas 75219.
Scottish Rite for Children treats conditions like scoliosis, clubfoot, hand differences and limb length discrepancies, all regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
With campuses in Dallas and Frisco, the organization is known globally for its innovative research and bright, welcoming facilities that are designed to feel more like a child’s playground than a hospital.
The Summer Colors Art Auction underscores this mission by merging the beauty of art with the impact of philanthropy.
