Wicker Park Fest, the annual street festival in the Wicker Park neighborhood on the city’s Northwest Side, wraps up its weekend-long run on Sunday, from noon to 10 p.m.
The festival includes live music all day on two different stages, along with food and beverage options from local vendors, international dance performances and a variety of cultural initiatives, including art installations.
Additionally, attendees can browse more than 150 neighborhood shops.
There’s no required admission fee, but a $10 entry fee is encouraged, with money raised from Wicker Park Fest going to Chicago animal rescue organizations. Additionally, gate donations are put toward yearly festival production by the Wicker Park and Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, a local nonprofit which works to increase the neighborhood’s visibility and promote the local business community.
The Wicker Park and Bucktown Chamber of Commerce also partners with Burr Elementary, which receives 100% of ticket sales from activities in the Kids Fest area during Wicker Park Fest.
