Garage fire leaves Visalia resident displaced

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A resident in Visalia was displaced after a fire broke out Saturday morning, the Visalia Fire Department announced.

At 5 a.m., firefighters responded to the 1300 block of South Liberty Avenue, where they found a garage fully engulfed in flames.

Visalia Fire says they were able to contain the blaze to the garage, preventing it from damaging the main home.

Crews say the tenant inside the home was able to safely escape but was ultimately displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
