Suspect sought for vandalizing businesses with anti-immigration and anti-Semitic graffiti
Suspect sought for vandalizing businesses with anti-immigration and anti-Semitic graffiti
CHICAGO (WGN) – Chicago police have issued a Community Alert after anti-Semitic and anti-immigration graffiti was found spray painted on the exterior of multiple West Side businesses.

Police said the suspect approached the businesses and sprayed black spray paint utilizing the words “ICE RULES” and/or Swastika symbols on the businesses’ exteriors.

The vandalism was done at the following times and locations:

  • 2700 block of West Cermak Rd in Marshall Square on July 19, 2025 between the hours of 12:00-03:00 AM.
  • 2500 block of South Central Park Ave in South Lawndale on July 19, 2025 at 12:00-03:00 AM.
  • 2700 block of West Cermak Rd in Marshall Square on July 20, 2025 between the hours of 12:00-03:00 AM

The suspect is described as a man about 25-35 years old, who stands 5’8″ to 5’10” and weighs 165-180 pounds. He also has short black hair, is clean shaven and has long sideburns. He was also wearing a black t-shirt with four squared logos on the front (possibly of Baby Yoda or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), blue denim pants, and black gym shoes with white soles, according to investigators.

Additional tips from CPD:

  • Never confront the subject, or pursue a fleeing assailant.
  • Remember any unique physical characteristics of the offender (scars, limp, acne, teeth,
  • etc.)
  • If video surveillance is available, save and make a copy of the incident for the investigating detectives.
  • If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information.
  • Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible.
  • If you are a victim, please do not touch anything until police arrive.
