CHICAGO (WGN) — The battle over the U.S. House of Representatives mid-term elections for next year is already well underway.
With an extraordinary call by President Donald Trump to push Texas lawmakers to redraw congressional maps in favor of Republicans, Governor JB Pritzker said he’ll lead the way to do the same in Illinois for Democrats if need be.
On Friday, Pritzker hosted a delegation from Texas to strategize.
“As far as I’m concerned, everything is on the table,” Pritzker said. “If they’re going to take this drastic action, we might also take drastic action to respond. I stand with these lawmakers here in outrage about what could happen to this country as a result of what may happen in Texas.”
