From 1997-2000, the Pasadena, Calif. native set 16 school records, won Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year, and made second team All-Big Sky as a freshman in 1997. He followed up a stellar freshman season with three straight first-team All-Big Sky Conference nominations.
“Being recognized by the Big Sky Conference is an overwhelmingly wonderful honor I am very thankful for,” said Dunn. “It is incredibly meaningful to not only be acknowledged for my football career, but also to be recognized alongside such outstanding athletes and administrators as my fellow inductees.”
As a senior in 2000, he rushed for 162.9 yards per game and led his team to PSU’s first-ever Division I-AA playoff run. After four years, Dunn holds school records in rushing yards in a single season (1,792), career rushing yards (6,007), single-season touchdowns (21), career touchdowns (54), 100-yard rushing games (30) and 200-yard rushing games (8).
He was inducted into the PSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006. Dunn joins PSU men’s track and field star Geronne Black as the only two Portland State athletes in the Big Sky Hall of Fame.
