
According to AAA Texas, drivers in Dallas are paying the most on average at $2.95 per gallon, while drivers in the Lubbock and San Angelo areas are paying the least at $2.61 per gallon. Drivers in Amarillo are paying $2.66 per gallon, which is one cent less compared to last week and 26 cents less compared to the same day last year.
AAA Texas officials stated drivers can credit crude oil prices averaging around $65 a barrel for the steady prices. Officials also noted that pump prices in 2025 haven’t had any major spikes or dips compared to recent years.
“When it comes to fuel prices, Texans are enjoying one of the most stable summer driving seasons in recent years,” said AAA Texas spokesperson Daniel Armbruster. “With crude oil prices remaining low, drivers should be able to hit the road without worrying about major swings at the pump.”
