Zero Density today announced the release of Reality 5.6, the latest update to its comprehensive solution for virtual studio production and on-air graphics.

“This release sets a new industry benchmark by consolidating on-air, virtual studio, augmented reality (AR), extended reality (XR) and video wall graphics into a unified template-based solution,” said a company release. “At the heart of this release is the Lino workflow, which combines Unreal Engine’s Motion Design Mode for template-based graphics design with Reality Hub’s powerful control capabilities.”

The company added that, with Reality 5.6, “designers and operators can save time and use familiar tools while controlling them all from one intuitive and advanced web-based interface.”

Zero Density CEO Baris Zavaroglu expressed enthusiasm for the offering.

“With Reality 5.6, we’re delivering a solution that simplifies operations, speeds up graphics design and unlocks creative freedom for broadcasters everywhere,” said Zavaroglu. “This is the first platform that enables users to work seamlessly with on-air graphics, AR, video walls and any other type of visual content broadcast productions require.”

Highlights of Reality 5.6, provided by Zero Density, include:

  • Expanded Capabilities — Zero Density’s mission-critical virtual studio production and on-air graphics platform, Reality, has already helped power over 3 million live hours of flawlessly produced live content. With this release, its reliable and efficient capabilities are expanding with the Lino workflow being the most recent addition, to better assist its users.
  • Familiar Workflows — With the familiar content creation interface for motion graphics artists, teams can utilize their existing skill set. Artists with a 2D/3D animation background or existing broadcast graphics tools experience can start creating content within days using Unreal Engine 5 Motion Design. In addition, the Lino workflow streamlines live production, reducing operator workload while ensuring flawless execution.
  • Reality Hub LE — A no-cost edition is now available for commercial use, including key modules like Lino playout and Template Builder, with no online activation needed.

Zero Density is also distributing a package of example projects with virtual set and on-air graphics assets to Reality users, including the Open Studio License Program community. These assets make it easier to onboard, design and utilize broadcast graphics immediately.
