
EDWARDS COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — An explosion has been reported in Edwards County Illinois.
Officials with Edwards County Dispatch say they got a call about the explosion around 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Officials on scene say an oil well caught fire, causing major injuries to three people. Those injured in the explosion were airlifted to receive medical care. At least two victims suffered burns.
The cause of the explosion has not yet been released. The fire at the oil well has been put out and officials on scene say the area is safe.
