This weekend in Philly: July 26 and 27 🛍️🍴🎫

(WPHL)– This weekend (July 25 and 27) is set to be jam-packed with events like the Royal Rummage Sidewalk Sale, Summer on the Steps, the end of University City Dining Days, the continuation of the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square, Parks on Tap, and much more. Royal Rummage Sidewalk Sale in Chestnut Hill:

  • July 25 to July 27, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • 8000 to 8600 blocks of Germantown Avenue
  • The cherished tradition of the Royal Rummage Sidewalk Sale returns to Chestnut Hill on Friday, July 26, offering bargain hunters and savvy shoppers a prime opportunity to snag some unbeatable deals. Storekeepers will line the sidewalks with tables full of their best merchandise at unbeatable discounted prices.

Summer on the Steps at the Art Museum:

  • Every Saturday and Sunday through September 28 from 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Location: Top of the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
  • Summer on the Steps will feature local food trucks, a seasonal pop-up bar, and a beer garden experience with casual seating and yard games in a family-friendly atmosphere.

University City Dining Days ends on Sunday:

  • Diners can enjoy three-course meal options for lunch or dinner at fixed prices of $20, $30, or $40.

Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square returns through August 31:

  • For 2025’s Year of the Snake, the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square will showcase magnificent giant lighted sculptures crafted from steel frames and wrapped in vibrant silk, blending light and culture. The popular 200-foot-long dragon returns along with never-before-seen giant lantern displays, with more lights, more lanterns, and more wattage than ever before. Visitors will embark on a magical journey through enchanting forest-themed displays and a radiant underwater realm, where lanterns and interactive delights showcase the splendor of China’s culture alongside diverse wildlife and vibrant marine wonders.
  • Tickets start at $16 and go up to $29 depending on age and day of visit.

Franklin Square’s 19th birthday celebration:

  • Celebrates the Nineteenth Birthday of Franklin Square with free daytime fun.
  • 10:00 am – Family Fun in Franklin Square Opens – Crafts, amusements, free carousel rides, music, and the Chinese Lantern Festival scavenger hunt
  • 11:00 am – Once Upon A Nation storytelling begins
  • 11:15 am – Happy Birthday, Franklin Square with Benjamin Franklin
  • 12:00 pm – Franklin Square Fountain Show begins

Parks on Tap continues:

  • Columbus Square Park
    • July 23- 27
    • Located HERE.
    • Parks on Tap began on April 9 with 20+ parks on the schedule.
    • On the menu, there is everything from an Adult Lunchable to a Loaded Mexican Hot Dog, and Cauliflower Banh Mi, to drinks including Hibiscus Lemonade, Spicy Mango Margarita, as well as Philly favorite drafts, cans, and more.

Life of Pi is on stage at the Academy of Music until July 27:
