Rockford man accused of sexual abuse, domestic violence

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Adonis Smith, 42, for sexually abusing a woman, along with another charge.

Officers were called to the 4100 block of Auburn Street for reports of domestic violence.

The woman told authorities she forced Smith out of the apartment after the suspect touched her inappropriately.

Witnesses told the victim that the suspect was sexually abusing her while she was asleep, according to court records.

Smith is charged with criminal sexual abuse without consent and domestic battery that caused physical contact.
