For an entire weekend, Tuttle Creek State Park will be full of camping and country music. This is the festival’s first year in operation, filling the void left by Country Stampede.
Executive Brandyn Steen and his co-executives attended graduate school at Kansas State University before moving to Nashville. The team loved Manhattan and jumped at the opportunity to bring a music festival back to the Little Apple.
“I met my co-execs at Kansas State, and we loved Manhattan,” Steen said. “The opportunity came up while we were on the Rock The Coast cruise, and we’ve been working to make the festival a reality for over a year.”
Headliners like the Randy Rogers Band are bringing the classic red dirt country sound, but one of the acts Steen is most excited for is Kaitlin Butts who has recently been making waves in the scene. Her song “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me)” off her new album “Roadrunner” has been going viral on TikTok, and she is quickly becoming a household name.
“We really appreciate the initial support,” Steen said. “We knew there was demand to fill the gap left from Country Stampede, but new festivals can be a scary venture. We’re just really grateful for the support.”
