With low to medium energy, Magpie is as content lounging by your side as she is splashing in the kiddie pool, or even dipping her paws in the water bowl. She’s a smart girl who knows how to enjoy the little things, and she does it all with quiet patience.
“She’s ever so quiet in her kennel, waiting patiently to be taken out,” said her caretaker. “She so cherishes your time with her.”
Magpie’s gentle demeanor and love for people make her a perfect candidate for a therapy, reading or companion dog. She doesn’t just want attention — she thrives on connection.
“She has taken a piece of my heart,” stated a caretaker.
Her adoption fee is $130, which includes spay, vaccines, microchip, wormer and a general vet exam.
Visit the shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. And if Magpie finds her forever home before you get there — don’t worry. Many of her sweet, adoptable friends are also waiting to meet you!
