Driver of side-by-side killed in crash with Knox County deputy during Corbin stop

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — One man is dead after colliding with a Knox County deputy while driving a side-by-side Thursday evening in Corbin.

Trooper Jacobs announced on Facebook that around 9:30 p.m., Kentucky State Police were called to the scene on Southeast Business Drive, where two men were said to have collided with a deputy vehicle during a traffic stop.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

The driver of the side-by-side was taken to Baptist Health in Corbin, where he was later pronounced dead. The passenger and the deputy involved were not injured, officials confirmed.

The crash is still under investigation.
