Crews respond to gas leak in St. Tammany Parish

SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — An evacuation is underway for some Slidell residents after a gas leak was reported on Friday, July 25.

St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1 reported that crews are responding to the gas leak near N. Pine Street, and six to seven homes are being evacuated.

Fire officials said N. Pine Street will be closed at Yaupon Street and Gause West/Highway 190 West.

Atmos is investigating the gas leak.
