A look behind the scenes at The Playmill Theatre with Emmy

Today I’m taking you behind the scenes at The Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone, Montana. The theatre opened its doors for the first time on June 24, 1964. Now, over 50 years later, the cast still provides quality family entertainment every summer with three different shows, yummy treats, and lots of memories.

This year, you can see “Bright Star,” “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” and “The Little Mermaid.” It’s the last year the theater will be open in West Yellowstone before moving to a brand new venue in Island Park next summer.

Roger and Heidi Merrill met at the Playmill as actors years ago and bought the theatre in 2005. I had a great time chatting with them and several other Playmill cast members who gave me a behind-the-scenes look at how everything comes together.
